Book a look around our nursery

“Staff carry out thorough risk assessment, and the manager ensures that all areas of the premises are safe and fit for purpose. The manager is committed to improving overall outcomes for children. For example, she effectively tracks how well the different groups of children achieve to identify gaps and takes action to close the learning gaps swiftly.” Ofsted report 2018

There are many reasons why our parents trust and choose us. Here are just a few examples:

Your child will get one to one care

We are a medium-sized setting allowing for a personal, one to one care for each child and for us to get to know each child better.

We are flexible and work in active partnership with parents

We are actively engaged with parents to discuss each child’s development plan; discussing everything from potty training to preparing the child for primary school.

We have fully qualified staff with genuine passion for what they do

Our rigorous recruitment process ensures that we only hire the best nursery practitioners to care for your children. Our staff are friendly, professional, and experienced in providing high quality care. We don't just stop there- each staff member goes through regular self-development training to ensure they are consistently performing at the best for your child. All our teachers are fully qualified, including many graduates and a Post-Graduate Qualified Teacher.

We operate from a safe, warm and purpose-built nursery location

Each of our rooms have a dedicated garden with shelter. This allows your child to freely move from inside to outdoor as they wish and also enjoy the outdoor space all year round. In addition, we have a large general outdoor garden fully equipped with climbing riding, water area, large sand area, reading and writing and a castle for role play.

We operate a Forest School, managed by an experienced fully qualified Forest School Practitioner

We are set up as both a Day Nursery and a Forest School. Forest Schools are a great way for your child to learn and ‘discover themselves’ through outdoor learning in woodland or natural environment surrounded by trees.

We actively promote extra learning activities from guest professionals

To extend the child’s learning, we provide extra curriculum such as weekly music lessons by a professional music and guitar teacher; finger gym activities; cooking classes; little scientist week and many more fun activities for the children to enjoy.

We provide excellent care for those with additional needs

Each child is a beautiful unique individual. As a result, we are set up to provide for children with additional needs and who may need special care and take on professional advice to ensure great outcome for every child.

We arrange regular trips out for the children

We are very big on outdoor learning, so we arrange regular trips to local parks, museums, farms, libraries, environment centres, etc giving the children the opportunity to explore the world around them.

Our children learn through play

A lot of our teaching and learning style is based on child-initiated play. We encourage children to do activities they enjoy and to participate in new activities where they can learn through play and at their own pace.

Open door policy

At Family Tree, we look forward to working with our parents in every way. Please approach us at the office to discuss any way we can support you better.
